A high end mobile device for the movie buffs! – Nokia N96
The new Nokia N96 which is targeting the movie fans and the mobile TV fans is 103 x 55 x 18 mm in dimensions. With its dual slide design you can slide it up or down. When you slide down you can view the playback controls on top and when you slide it up you can view the keyboard at the bottom.
In the Landscape mode you can view the movies with ease. In this mode you have the playback controls on the left side. This mode is very useful to view even the photos that you have captured with the 5 megapixels camera at the back of the device. A front facing camera is also available that helps you in making video calls!
The carousel-location wheel at the bottom right, helps you to browse through the photos with the help of the photos application. This application also helps you to attach tags to your photos and later you can view or search photos that have a particular tag.
The 2.8 inch screen helps you to view the movies in different formats like VGA (640 x 480 px) at 30 frames per second, WMV, and Flash video. You can view mobile TV or TV that is streamed with the 3G network. You can even record the TV programs in it. An FM radio is also integrated with this mobile device. In the Landscape mode while watching movies, you can use the plastic surrounding the camera at the back to function as a stand so that you can view the movies handsfree. Stereo speakers are also available.
The top of the device has an audio jack and the bottom has a mini-USB port for connecting to USB devices or to your computer for transfering data. Slot for micro-sd card is available. The memory card that you use could be from 8 GB! This helps you to store lots of movies and photos in this mobile device.
