It is very compact in size for the features that it comes bundled with. The OLED display gives you brilliant and natural color to the images and the interface. With the 5 MP camera you can take very good pictures in natural colors. It comes with preloaded games and assisted GPS. A trial of voice guided navigation is also availabe in this device. In short it is a multimedia computer in your palm. Two way sliding is possible with the device.

There are several ways that you can interact with this device. Cover keys, navi wheel, multimedia key, volume keys, media keys, game keys, zoom keys and a numeric keypad are all available in this device. Key illumination is also there to operate conveniently in the dark. With the OLED Active matrix display it is capable of displaying up to 16.7 million colors.

With the 1200 mAh Lithium ion battery you can playback video up to 7 hours. With 30 hours of music playback capacity you are not short of power. For those who are inclined towards games, 7 hours of game play is in store.

The 5 mega pixel camera can be used to take photographs from 10 cms distance up to infinity. Dual LED flash with a range of up to 10 feet is more than enough to take photographs using flash. You can view slideshow of the photographs taken and also use the navi wheel to navigate through the photos.

With a price tag of around $490, it is worth buying.

With its dual slide design you can slide it up or down. When you slide down you can view the playback controls on top and when you slide it up you can view the keyboard at the bottom.

In the Landscape mode you can view the movies with ease. In this mode you have the playback controls on the left side. This mode is very useful to view even the photos that you have captured with the 5 megapixels camera at the back of the device. A front facing camera is also available that helps you in making video calls!

The carousel-location wheel at the bottom right, helps you to browse through the photos with the help of the photos application. This application also helps you to attach tags to your photos and later you can view or search photos that have a particular tag.

The 2.8 inch screen helps you to view the movies in different formats like VGA (640 x 480 px) at 30 frames per second, WMV, and Flash video. You can view mobile TV or TV that is streamed with the 3G network. You can even record the TV programs in it. An FM radio is also integrated with this mobile device. In the Landscape mode while watching movies, you can use the plastic surrounding the camera at the back to function as a stand so that you can view the movies handsfree. Stereo speakers are also available.

The top of the device has an audio jack and the bottom has a mini-USB port for connecting to USB devices or to your computer for transfering data. Slot for micro-sd card is available. The memory card that you use could be from 8 GB! This helps you to store lots of movies and photos in this mobile device.

Overall this N96 is a high end device for the movie buffs!
